I have not used any so far. And here’s why. Besides the added cost, the reviews of the many brands on Amazon are all mixed, some people love them, and some hate them. I am betting I would fall into the latter category. My Mother used to cook popcorn over the stove when I was a kid, and pour on real melted butter over the top. So that was my original intent also. But when I tried some real melted butter, my popcorn became soggy, and was way too oily and way too salty. You see, the coconut oil is already oily, and when you add in popcorn salt, it is already salty. So adding more oil and salt is just too much. I think any added buttery topping would be the same way. Right now, I think using just virgin coconut oil and popcorn salt make the perfect light and crispy best tasting popcorn right out of the kettle without adding anything else. But I will have to try one of those toppings some someday.
