I would love to hear everyone's favorite popcorn recipe for Manley M Line poppers.
How much oil, popcorn and salt. Brands are not important. I'm mainly interested in quantities.
Also at what point do you turn OFF the kettle in the popping process.

Right now, since I'm new to a M Line, I'm using 4-5 ozs of coconut oil, a tablespoon of salt and 11 ozs of corn. (recommended by Admn. Ross)
What are you doing??

4-5 oz Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (must smell and taste like coconut.... white.....cold pressed....not denatured)
One Teaspoon POPCORN salt (fine grain)
12 oz WHITE popcorn

Turn off kettle about 15 seconds before last "pop" (takes practice)

Experimented last night with the pure white coconut oil. Instead of the fine grain popcorn salt, I'm still using the yellow salt and a little more than one teaspoon. Popcorn tested really good.

I have compared my popcorn recipe with several people. One interesting variation that was suggested to me was Olive Oil. I haven't given it a try--just sounds strange. Has anyone tried it.
